Nick, Sophie & Skylark
Skylark was built and launched in 2015 for Nick and Sophie from Sutton Coldfield. They were after a weekend cruiser as a getaway from a busy working life.
She is a 57ft long luxury narrowboat in the cruiser style. These easy-going clients worked with us to create a boat with plenty of room, year-round practicality and just enough bling to stand out from the crowd, without being too showy.
Nick said of his first boat building experience,
We absolutely loved working with the Live the Dream team from the day we decided to build our boat with them. They tamed some of our wildest ideas whilst working hard to give us a boat that’s unique in so many ways. The balance of comfort, practicality and style that resulted is a haven we can’t wait to retreat to on most weekends.

Richard, Andrea & Blossom
When Rich & Andrea came to us in 2017, they were considering a total of three boat yards to work with. We asked them why they ended up choosing Live the Dream and how they are enjoying their boat today.
Their amazing six berth holiday narrowboat was built in the cruiser style . She has a spacious rear deck with rail seating and a really practical pram hood for rainy days. Her kitchen area is well thought out and the living area is spacious and easily adaptable for relaxing, eating and sleeping.
Andrea talked a little about her narrowboat building adventure,
Building our own Narrowboat was a fantastic experience. We had a few ideas and the team at Live the Dream helped us to create our perfect floating holiday home. Every phase was carefully planned & managed, from design to fabrication and fit out to choosing the final paint job, we felt supported every step of the way.
